Parkway Safety Protocols

Parkway families, you and your athlete’s safety when at the Parkway grounds is our number one priority. To ensure everyone’s safety, we have a few precautionary measures that we will be taking and we need everyone’s to enforce. These guidelines are subject to change as needed.

  1. Parents will be asked to attest to their child having no symptoms of COVID-19 at check-in for practice or game. If you, your child or anyone in your house has a fever above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, new cough (started within the past 14 days), new shortness of breath (started within the past 14 days) your child will not be allowed to join activities. Please stay home if this is the case. We ask that your child stay home for 7 days with no symptoms prior to returning.
  2. Requirements set by our state and LL allow a set number of individuals to be present during practices and games. Spectators must social distance (6 feet) around the park as best as possible with the optimal distance of 6 feet. Once practices and games are over, we ask that families leave for home in a timely manner. We ask families to adhere to the below map for areas that will be utilized to watch games and practice.
  3. If your child or someone in your home tests positive for COVID-19, we ask that you communicate directly with Candice Schintz via email at vicepresident@parkwaybaseball.com or 651-307-5869 Your information will remain confidential. Our protocol will be to inform parents and coaches within the team that they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
  4. Players will be required to bring their own water bottles, helmets and gloves. Each team will do their best to social distance while in the dugout. Each team will have access to multiple sets of catcher’s gear so that no player will need to share during a game.
  5. Cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer will be available through the park. We will do our best to continue cleaning any heavily used items and areas intermittently during a game day.
  6. If you or one of your family members becomes sick, please visit https://mn.gov/covid19/for-minnesotans/if-sick/ for more information on your resources and testing.

Exposure Assessment: In terms of determining close contacts, consider the following:

  • For outdoor sports, the entire team does not automatically have to be placed into quarantine. Consider each situation on a case-by-case basis.
